Our Mission:

GOAL, Inc. is a non-profit group comprised mainly of local youth sport enthusiasts and volunteers. Our mission is to offer children opportunities for leadership and socialization, as well as the development of skills for handling success and failure. We do so by providing families in need with financial and material assistance to allow their children to participate in youth team sports.

Why We Do It:

According to researchers at the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports at Michigan State University, kids who participate in organized sports do better in school, have better interpersonal skills, are more team oriented, and generally healthier. We will leverage partnerships only with organizations like the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) that meet the following criteria:

• All children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play can do so.

• Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing and there are no elimination try-outs.

• Everyone Plays® and children come first.
